R.J. Scaringe, Founder of Rivian, Quietly Builds a Tesla for Trucks and S.U.V.s

The company, which recently came out of stealth mode, has raised $1.7 billion from Amazon, Ford Motor and others without selling a single pickup truck and sport utility vehicle.
